Well I have the engine and tranny sorted out so I got this kit to replace the rear drums, uses tokico calipers, basically stuff that fits a maxima from the 80's. They make a bracket to fit it on the Z. Should be easy. I broke my mustache bar a little while ago and that put this on hold. I still get a slight wobble at around 70 mph, I have to go see if the wheel came out of balance first, if its not that then maybe I hurt a U joint somehow.

How does the handbrake work with this setup? Am I just not seeing the tab on the caliper?

Are those 240SX style rear calipers? Any front brake upgrades?

I haven't even looked at it yet, I was told it can use the stock position and its no problem. It does say a 280Z needs a little modification but 240 and 260 is a direct stock replacement. We'll see!

I think they work on a lot of cars, I was told I could use Maxima calipers but I just got the whole kit so all I know is they are Tokico. Probably can go on a 240SX etc. The front is stock but rebuilt, I might upgrade at some point but I have other stuff to do and the rears will make a big difference on the mountain roads, it just doesn't slow down fast enough and gets you out of rhythm, harder to carry speed or brake when you realize its a bit tighter corner than you thought. There are lots of roads over a mountain near me and coastal roads as well.

Ah, I did some googling, Maxima calipers are basically one step up from 240SX ones, and they swap. Makes sense.
Hope to see pics when they're installed!
